An Ancient Forest This is a familiar theme, but a few clever design choices and the use of gnarled cork bark turn this small aquarium into a truly interesting and convincing composition. The foreground is particularly striking, with its richly textured wood formations, warm colour palette, and strong contrasts. Personally, I find the foreground a little too elevated and would have preferred a gentler descent, at least along the path. The planting is varied and offers a well-balanced selection of different shades of green, complemented by touches of red and orange. Perhaps a little more depth could have been created, but as it stands, this aquascape earned my personal second place in the smallest aquarium category. Congratulations!
