Judges' Comments

Nice Wabi Kusa and use of hardscape incorporated into the design of the ball. I do feel like the amount of wood used, limited the plants that could be displayed on the ball itself, so the display seems cramped and restrictive. I also would have liked to have seen the Hydrocotyl pruned to thicken the amount growing on the ball. The use of the moss in the vessel is an interesting technique, but in this case distracts from the Wabi Kusa itself. Well done!

Interesting use of moss and focus on moss. However, I don't think putting it into the water feature looks natural in this situation. I would have put more focus on the above water section as this is where you can express greater creativity and knowledge of growing plants.
