Scape is inspired by fish around south east Asia, which is where I'm from, Most people in my country don't even realized our own waterways have beautiful small fresh water fish, all they know are those from the amazon. We share the same climate and even have an older rainforest than the amazon, our biodiversity here is just as rich if not richer. Fish like the red tail rasbora can be found in lakes in Malaysia and they school beautifully and are extremely hardy, I'm taking this opportunity to hopefully give them some spotlight. Right side of the scape is to mimic local river system where its rather bare with just small pebbles and for the fish to gather around. The left side is heavily planted with lots of south east Asian aquatic plants such as crpyts and rotala. Which are mostly inspired by videos made by Rodrigo Silva in his Thailand underwater documentary featuring streams with lots of cabomba and red tail rasboras which i find extremely beautiful.
