About This Aquascape

“WHISPERS ALONG THE PATH” Sometimes, the path we are meant to take begins with a simple whisper. A quiet voice telling us to try. A friend reminding us not to waste our talent. A family member saying, “Why not give it a chance?” And sometimes, the hardest part is not taking the first step—it is finding the courage to believe that we are capable of taking it. “Whispers Along the Path” was born from those very whispers. Before I even started this artwork, I had already heard so many voices from my family and friends encouraging me to join an international competition. They would tell me, “Sayang ang talent mo. Sayang ang art mo. Subukan mo.” But I was hesitant. I worried about my limited budget, the materials I needed, and whether I could really compete on an international stage. I was afraid that I might not be good enough, especially knowing that I would be competing alongside artists from different parts of the world. So, at first, I chose not to listen. But the whispers continued. Some of my friends donated materials. Others gave me art supplies at a much lower price just to help me create this piece. They continued encouraging me to join, reminding me that even if they could not support me financially, they would find other ways to help. My family stood behind me. My friends believed in me. And little by little, their support became the courage I was missing. Then I realized something: Maybe these whispers were not just words. Maybe they were little reminders telling me that I should not be afraid to try. So I listened. With the simple materials I could afford, the generous help of my friends, the love and support of my family, and the talent that God has entrusted to me, I finally found the courage to take that step. This artwork carries more than colors and materials. It carries the voices of the people who believed in me when I was doubting myself. It carries every donation, every helping hand, every word of encouragement, and every moment when I chose to keep going despite my fears. I may not have started this journey with everything I needed. But I started with people who believed I could. And sometimes, that is more than enough to begin. This is “Whispers Along the Path”—a reminder that the voices encouraging us to pursue our dreams may sometimes be the very whispers that lead us toward where we are meant to be. So when you hear a whisper telling you to try, perhaps, just perhaps, it is worth listening.
