The name is a reinterpretation of a well-known Latin expression. For me, it is a metaphor for the creative power of nature. In my interpretation, flora takes the place of the mechanism - a living, changing and unpredictable force of nature. I created only the basic layout, arranged the hardscape, planted the aquarium, set up the lighting and tuned the complex high-tech equipment that stays out of the picture. But nature has no final form. Over time, it starts to set its own rules and constantly changes the space. With every new leaf and every intertwining stem, the scape moves further away from the original design. The plants themselves become its main architects. It is a story about how we create a space for life, and how life itself gives that space its meaning.
