DRIFT was inspired by my trekking journeys through remote forests, where ancient roots, dense vegetation, and narrow openings constantly reveal new layers of the landscape. I wanted to recreate the feeling of standing deep within the wilderness, looking toward a distant opening while life quietly moves through it. The intertwining wood represents old trees shaped by time, while the school of fish becomes a drifting current of life passing through the forest. Rather than recreating a specific place, DRIFT captures a memory of trekking—the sense of movement, discovery, depth, and tranquility found along the trail.
