Great use of hardscape in a well designed Wabi Kusa. The wildness of the growth speaks to the Wabi sabi that exemplifies what this category tries to achieve. Great use of color and textures throughout the Wabi Kusa ball and the wood complements the layout. The Ludwigia growing down the ball could use a little pruning as it distracts a bit from the cohesiveness of the Wabi Kusa. But that's a minor nitpick. Beautifully done!
A impressive display of plant husbandry, particularly in the height and health achieved with the Hygrophila. The hardscape is subtle yet provides a strong sense of structure within the composition. The foreground stems feel slightly disconnected from the overall planting, but otherwise this is a beautifully balanced and thoughtfully executed wabi kusa.
Plants look healthy and growing well! The blue interior of the bowl was a nice surprise, and it just elevated the whole composition. The only improvements would be the symmetry - the wood on each side of the arrangement, and the larger leaf size of the weeping plants could be have been improved a bit. For example, having the wood elevated on one side (pointing upward) and less symmetrical with the other wood on the other side also pointing down. The leaf size of the cascading plants could have been smaller to give a better perspective, and also asymetrically placed around the bowl. Overall very nice entry.
