About This Aquascape
The inspiration behind the layout is the idea of a log that is swept away by the river’s current and eventually comes to rest at the riverbank, held in place by large boulders jutting out into the water. With plants growing on the log and the hiding spots it provides, a new habitat is created for the river’s inhabitants.

Although the hardscape is relatively simple, I really like this work for its visual impact and vivid colours. The layout and the direction of the plants create a clear, well-balanced flow, giving the composition great overall harmony. The fish placement is also spot on. Excellent use of mirrors and reflections as well.
