This aquascape is designed around the concept of a tree standing on a rocky ridge, with the ridge partially submerged in the shallow water below. The roots of the bonsai naturally cling to and spread across the rocky cliff surfaces, creating a strong connection between the tree and the landscape. Along the damp roots, Riccardia moss and Hygrohypnum luridum thrive, helping retain moisture and gently slowing the flow of water as it passes over the roots. Beneath the water, a carefully arranged variety of aquatic flora creates depth and balance. Mini Hairgrass forms a lush carpet on the left, while a small island of fragmented rocks and Organic debris creates a contrasting Natural focal point on the right. In the background, a dense forest of Rotala adds, color, and a sense of depth, completing the natural composition of the underwater landscape.

Always impressive to see a bonsai as part of any entry. The photography could have been improved, however, with a background and removal of equipment such as the thermometer. The shadows from the set up distracts from the impressive bonsai.
