Beautiful and healthy Wabi Kusa with a good mix of textures and colors that give impact to the design. The Ludwigia glandulosa gives a really nice pop of color and really catches the eyes! And the Echinodorus with the different contrasting colors really sets the display off. I also really loved the variegation in the Anubias, which provides a nice contrast in texture and color for the display. Excellent use of wood that complements the rest of the Wabi Kusa. And as a nitpick, perhaps thinning out the Eleocharis would help the display stand out even more. Beautifully done!
This is a tremendously successful wabi kusa, carefully demonstrating a great variety of planting that feels orderly without feeling too controlled. The presence of hair grass does a terrific job of providing a sense of disorder amongst the well-considered planting arrangements. It is not only the layout that is impressive, but also the incredible variety of exotic species growing emergent. The hardscape elements are well-considered and not distracting. They act as members of the supporting cast, rather than distracting from the composition as a whole. This is a terrific example of a carefully composed wabi kusa that demonstrates expert husbandry, without feeling too controlled or overtly manicured. Excellent!
I didn't see the wood element because the photo was so dark - I saw it on the close up and realized there was wood. Nice use of color, leaf shapes, and weeping the plants to draw attention to the azolla. Nice looking pinto - not always easy to incorporate variegated plants but this looks great.
