I ranked this tank highly in this category because of its uncommon composition that creates a scene resemblance of a cenote. although a large rock structure is built across the tank, it does not feel too congested or bulky due to the effectiveness of the shadow - the amount and position of the shadow is inch-perfect, it softens the rock structure and at the same time create a nice dimension or an extra layer that enhance the visual impact. i also love that the creator reveals sufficient rock surfaces to give the layout a nice contrast and a "character". plant volume seems to be on the lower side, but a good plant volume is not measure by the amount of plant mass but the balance between the plants and hardscape and in this case, i think the balance is perfect! Therefore even with the lower plant mass, this layout does not look dry or artificial. congratulation on a fantastic creation!
