Judges' Comments
Very interesting way to display your wood surrounding the Wabi Kusa and it's also a unique way to grow the aquascape on lava rock. The container feels very restrictive of the display and doesn't complement the aquascape. Also, the pinnatifida has some health issues as evidenced by the decay in some of the leaves.

This is a great wabi kusa! The concept is clear and novel, giving a great sense of movement as the hardscape elements work with the plants and their beautiful density. Humidity damage to the Hygrophila pinnatifida becomes quickly apparent as the plant always demands attention when grown emergent. This takes feels out of place, when paired starkly in contrast to the beautiful mosses below. The submerged portion also requires a bit of tidying. Floating plants feel distracting, with stray moss stems spoiling an otherwise beautifully-considered display.

Interesting use of wood, both going upright and down. That adds an abstract look to the monochromatic green of the plants. The top Tonina is a little tall and distracts from the wood going up. Also, some of the other Tonina looks like they are falling over, which is not their normal plant growth, which is also not as natural.
