Judges' Comments
Nice use of the hardscape to develop the structure of the riparium. Both the terrestrial and aquatic sections were well developed for the aquascape and a good mix of plants, in particular the Hydrocotyle, really make the stand out. Unfortunately, the Myriophyllum doesn't really complement the riparium and doesn't appear to be in the best health. Instead of the Myrio, maybe use something with more of a pop of red like an Alternanthera species. Good job!

This is a well-composed display consisting of an interesting variety of species bot emergent and below the surface. The plants display great health, showcasing the husbandry of the creator very well. Planting groups do feel static; however, with much emphasis drawn to the right side of the display. Hardscape elements are less apparent in the submerged portion as well. This creates a transition from above to below that is less than impactful. Care regarding the planting below the surface is present, but stray aqua soil does not mirror the manicured intentions above in the emersed planting.

Good use of plants underwater. The plants to the right in a row, outlining the shape of the wood/rock does not seem natural however.
