I named this scape “Vildana” after my partner. The word carries a sense of wisdom and calm beauty, and to me it symbolizes renewal and quiet strength — much like the scene itself, where life reclaims an old piece of wood and turns decay into something peaceful and alive again.
Planorbella duryi
Hydrocotyle tripartita, Pogostemon deccanensis, Rotala indica, Plagiomnium cf. affine
Hamburg, Germany, Germany
Excellent use of Pogostemon deccanensis and I love the fact that you were able to get the plants to flower. I'm also enjoying the unique shape of the wood and how it was incorporated into the aquascape. Nicely designed riparium!
This is fantastic example of a display that presents a clear theme through its hardscape arrangement and successful planting that integrates into it. This display is immediately impactful. Lush mosses spill across the driftwood, giving the impression of great plant health and careful husbandry. The Pogostemon Erectus in bloom is always a joy to see, especially as it appears to have just begun, reminding the viewer that there is even more to come! The layout does not fall short as it carefully transitions below the surface. Whilst planting is more sparse, it is done with intention and careful integration. The presence of negative space in the hardscape above the surface, then mirrored below the surface, is thematically striking. This leaves the viewer with a complete image and lasting impression. Incredible work!
Interesting wood and the touch of flowers is a nice add. I think the arch of the wood conflicts with the strong upright plants and perhaps it should have been shorter plants
