I love the variety of plants used in the riparium with everything looking lush and healthy. Unfortunately, I think the plants could use a pruning to give the riparium a little more of a refined appearance. In looking at the aquascape, it is hard to tell where the dominant focal point is found in the riparium. I would also like to see some more aquatic plants used in the aquascape. Great job!!
There is a lot of beautiful stuff happening here. Above the surface, a wide variety of interesting species grow, many in good health. So good, in fact, that they begin to overwhelm the composition and detract from any visible hardscape elements. There appears to be a suggestion of hardcape transitioning from above to below the water, though, it is difficult to fully appreciate. Plants assist in making this transition better understood. This layout would benefit tremendously from a good trim to better establish boundaries between species, remove dead foliage, and refine the impact into a single concept.
I appreciate the wide use of different plants and also the inclusion of fish. However, a good trimming would have made the wood more visible and opened up some space, adding to the arrangement.
