The riparium is healthy and vibrant with a good terrestrial portion represented. Unfortunately, the aquatic portion of the display needs to be further refined and some of the floating plants thinned to allow light to the gravel surface of the riparium. A pop of color to break up the green of the aquascape would also benefit the display. Nice job!
This is simply pleasant display, showcasing healthy plant growth and great texture in plant choice - both stem and floating. There is a looseness to the planting groups that feels natural, rather than relying on densely packaged clusters. The O. Kyoto does feel out of place in relation to the other plants, especially as it appears as the only specimen in the layout. The submerged portion does not have a clear transition from above, though, the density of floating plants does assist with making this harsh transition appear more intentional. The substrate level is littered with debris, in a positive manner, referencing the wildness present above the surface. Overall, a great display!
Upright plant and wood added to the interest. I would have trimmed back some of the hydrocotyl to expose more of the water to the light to improve visibility into the water as the hydrocotyl is on the verge of looking messy and less artistic.
