Creative use of the container from the originators of the Wabi Kusa art form! The contrasting size and leaf textures really complement each other well in this display. Some selective pruning of the plants would improve this display even more by removing unhealthy parts of the plants. Although there is hardscape used in the container, it's unfortunate that we aren't able to see how it complements the rest of the Wabi Kusa. Nice job!

This wabi kusa embodies the wild impression this artform can convey. A simple display with only two species gives a greatly naturalistic feeling, capturing a thicket of Hydrocotyle sp. and its healthy blooms. There is a great sophisication to a wabi kusa with only a few species. The plants must be carefully considered to avoid feeling monotonous. Fortunately for the creator, Hydrocotyle verticillata can never be dull! I wish for the creator to trim wilted stems and blooms prior to documentation, as they only distract from the impact of the wabi kusa's health. The vessel is well-proportioned and unique, though, graphic elements are distracting. A beautiful wabi kusa!

Simplicity and elegance from having fewer plants, monochromatic with only leaf size and shape adding interest. Offset, weeping silhouette is nice. However I do see some brown leaves that detracts from the overall health of the arrangement.
