Contest is ClosedHello Fellow Aquascapers,
The Aquatic Gardeners Association is excited and privileged to announce the results for the 2025 AGA International Aquascaping Contest (AGAIAC), the 25th anniversary of our esteemed contest. The first aquascaping contest of its kind, in 2000 we launched with only 70 entries, this year it has grown to 426 aquascapes submitted by 365 contestants from 52 countries. We are honored to continue to represent the best aquascapers in the world from the past, today, and into the future.
As in past years, we were thrilled to see some stunning aquascapes in each of the categories making the job of judging very difficult. The success of our contest is dependent on the hard work of our esteemed panel of judges sifting through hundreds of entries to choose just a few of the very best aquascapes. I am incredibly grateful to our judges who take time away from work and family to support our contest and sift through numerous entries to choose the best aquascapes. In addition to our esteemed judges, the contest would not be the success it is without the generosity of sponsors. Our inaugural 2025 Premier Sponsor is our long-time supporter, Seachem Laboratories. This year’s Associate Sponsors are Oase Living Water, Aqua Naturals, and Florida Aquatic Nurseries. Finally, we want to thank the Chicago Aquatic Plant Society as an Aquatic Club Sponsor.
With the support of Brian Wigginton, Jen Williams, and Abeer Khalaf, we celebrate this anniversary milestone with a new site and user experience—one we hope will grow into a valuable resource for the community as well as a stunning showcase for aquascapers.
Finally, I would also like to thank everyone on the contest committee, our judges, and especially our aquascapers for your hard work and support for 2025!
So, without further ado, enjoy this year's aquascapes!
